I have been laying a few plans for future income streams this month.
I was at a meeting recently in Lisbon with a few fellow internet marketers. It is a monthly thing that is incredibly useful for information sharing, setting up JVs, getting help with your business or enjoying some general chit chat about the business. If you ever get the chance to attend one I would recommend that you jump at the chance.
For me the most interesting thing is seeing how other internet marketers make their own living online. It was actually at one of these meetings that I came across one of these deals that I am about to tell you about.
One of the presentations at the latest meeting was done by a lovely lady from England who has quite a few popular internet marketing websites. I am not going to mention names but even if you have been involved in internet marketing for a month you will have heard of her.
The presentation she was giving was about Affiliate Marketing and how to make sure that your own affiliate marketing campaign hits the next level. She even explained how to get the most out of your banner adverts which many people seem to be at a loss with.
In other words I would have a banner on one of my Blogs then X amount of people would click through and buy. Then hey presto I have made lots of juicy sales.
In reality though it is not that easy......
Countless e-books have been written about this method and how to achieve the largest amount of affiliate sales. Companies spend millions of dollars making sure that there affiliate marketing earns their website enough money so that they don't have to worry about other day to day running costs. I must admit this particular presentation completely blew me away.
Even though I have always been a big fan of affiliate marketing and used my own methods for years this really did give me food for thought. She had given me a really good system to try out that I had never even heard of before and I have read that many e-books about Affiliate Marketing. Put simply she was showing me how to get sale after sale through very little effort from banners that I would have considered as worthless.
Even the anti-marketing type could really get to grips with this one.
When the next interval arrived I went straight to her to ask her more questions about her methods. As we chatted away I mentioned to her that this would be a wonderful basis of a short report or even an e-book to place on Clickbank.
However she soon had me on the verge of collapsing when said that she didn't have any products of her own and attended these meetings in order to find an appropriate product to sell. The truth is that the presentation that she had just provided us lucky internet marketers was the perfect product.
I have always believed that every single one of us has the ability to find at least two ways to make a great profit online. We all have a spectacular niche inside of us that we can make money from.
For example the horse riding instructor can have a nice little business showing others the basics of bonding with their new horse or learning how to ride their first horse.
But after doing this there is a much more lucrative angle - that person then teaching others their skill. This can then be done via a $47 e-book explaining how to do it that can be downloaded instantly. But best of all he or she doesn't need to be there to show them as this is their automated income starting to take shape.
It is the exact same as my friend at the internet marketing meeting she has the skill to be able to teach other people her talent.
I mention this to her and say that I would love to do a JV with her via a 50/50 split and if necessary I would even write the e-book for her. If she is clever though she will quietly go off and write it herself and make a shed load of money from it. However if she is too busy with other projects we will be able to have a very profitable venture together.
In a couple of days time I will be emailing her to arrange for this JV to go ahead but if she is a smart marketer she will be planning it alone.
You see we all have a product inside us we just have it let it come out and do the business!
There is also a third option available to you as the idea spotter. You could see an idea for making a new income stream an act on it. As an internet marketer I often see good quality products out there that have simply been marketed wrong. I am sure you too are aware of these and by acting on it you can make a good sum of money from them.
You could even find an old e-book that still has the potential that comes with Private Label Rights and turn it into your own product.
The opportunities are there you just want to take them to the next level.
