The Simple Way to Make Money with Untapped Niches
Dated: 29 May,2012
I've written a couple of articles about keyword research basics in this blog. And I deeply admit that this subject is very important so I want to show you an example on how to make money with untapped niches. When I begun to get myself soaked into this "Internet Marketing" thing, I initially created profit campaigns that are highly competitive because just like other people, all I know is that’s where the money flows. Topics like "personal insurance", "mortgage" and some legal stuff. But I was totally unaware that I was doing the hard way. So, let's do it the other way… This is what I learned base on my experience – all you need to do is find out keywords with sufficient searches with little/less competition. How do you do that? There are hundreds of Keyword Research Tools available in the web, paid and free. But in this example, let's make use of Google's free Keyword Tool. Click here. This tool gives the user and approximate number of searches that a specific keyword receives per month. I'll give you some time to play around with it. Type some random keywords or just any words you can think of and find out the results. Okay. Thanks for coming back. :) Let me show you now an exact case study of untapping potential niche to make money with. For this example, we're going to try and find keyword search for "printer". Here is a screenshot from Google Keyword Tool: That looks like a lot search per month huh? But when we search in Google.com, there are more than 725 million websites/web pages competing for this keyword. That's a hard competition. It's nearly not possible to get decent ranking from this keyword. And when you look at the rest of the results in Google Keyword Tool, you can find tiny gold mines to make money with less competition. These searches can include:While it is absolutely achievable to make money with these niches, it is undoubtedly not the easy way. This is true because these niches require a lot of time, energy and resources to compete with the existing players. They have high degree of competition.
These keywords are exactly the terms you want rank high in Search Engine Results Page (SERP) because they have lesser degree of competition. The next step is to build a website using these terms, do some Search Engine Optimization (SEO) magic and you're ready to bank in cash from the website.
The idea is to simply go after keywords that nobody else does. It is a lot practical and effective to build 10 of these sites than trying to beat up 1 big site ranking for a heavy competitive keyword.
