| A Look At Flow,Peak And Glance Features Of Blackberry OS 10 Posted: 26 Jun 2012 05:03 AM PDT Blackberry OS 10 is without a doubt an OS we cannot wait to get our hands on. the initial reactions seem that it would very much be based on the Blackberry Tablet OS and be scaled down to be used on a smart phone. The OS 10 devices are largely expected to be based on a lot of gestures which would in a way justify the absence of a physical button on the device. It makes the device look elegant and also using it lot less cumbersome and lot more geeky. There are three main actions as a result of gestures that are the talk of BB OS 10 called, Peak, Glance and Flow. What they do? Here is the best explanation by an on screen tester at Crackberry: “Flow describes the ability of the user to seamlessly traverse between application experiences on the device (as opposed to the more common open / close paradigmn of iOS). Glance is the gesture that allows you to preview notifications easily within BlackBerry 10, by swiping up at an angle from the bottom right corner of the display. This pulls in the vertical notification bar from the right. Continuing the glance gesture to the left hooks you into the unified inbox. So from anywhere on the OS — no matter what app you are in — you are never more than a quick gesture away from jumping into messages. Peek is the in-app gesture that allows you to view multiple layers of an app at once. The classic demonstration provided of this is when viewing an attachment such as a .pdf within the email app. By peeking back, you can view the attachment, the email and the inbox all at once to quickly flow to wherever you want to go.” However, if you are not satisfied with just words, here is the video preview of all these three features: Do these features make a difference to you in the BB OS 10? What other features are you looking forward to? Do let us know in the section below. Via: crackberry Related posts:

| Leaked Images Point Towards A Revamped Play Store With Android Jelly Bean Posted: 26 Jun 2012 04:18 AM PDT Google Play store is quickly catching up with Apple App Store as the hub of mobile Applications. Since the launch of the Android Market store as it was called before being christian-ed the Play Store, we have seen plenty of changes being bought in the Application Store. Be it the UI or the recently added movies and books, Google has never settled like Apple with regards to its Application Store. They are always upto something or the other and it seems like we are all set to see another upgrade. It looks like a significant UI change as at the top it seems are the highest rated apps while you can scroll along to see other applications. However, no information have been leaked out at all about the jelly Bean Update, so how this person has got access to the screenshot with it is an absolute mystery. It could very well be photoshopped or fake but the guy named Yousif is yet to revert back to people. However, if this is the real thing, the change is definitely for the good and we really like the UI upliftment. What are your views on the Google Play Store, would you like to see it updated? Do let us know in the comments section below. Via: Techradar Related posts:

| The Retina Macbook Pro- It’s a Dream Machine Posted: 25 Jun 2012 04:34 PM PDT You just automatically feel a sense of pride and happiness on owning it. Feel the power when you grab this eye candy with the latest intel processors with instant-on responsiveness. You immediately understand why it is such a desirable piece of magic. The unprecedented high-resolution screen on the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display makes images, even simple text look beautifully clear. Packing in an astounding 2880×1880 pixels it takes the viewing experience to a whole new level that was never earlier seen in a laptop. The pixel count is a staggering 3 million pixels more than the HDTV. It has a redesigned, lightweight body, the powerful components, including an Nvidia GPU. Overdue new ports, including USB 3.0 and HDMI, are welcome. It has a flash memory of 256 GB and an impressive battery life of unto 7 hours. The touchpad is brilliant and very sensitive as always. With a $2,199 entry-level price tag, The lack of onboard Ethernet jack, FireWire, or an optical drive can be inconvenient at times. Despite being thinner and lighter, it’s not as travel-friendly as a true ultrabook or MacBook Air. The Retina MacBook Pro is in a whole different space of its own. The quad-core in a body that’s svelte (but not quite ultrabook-thin), discrete graphics, and a super high-res display and much more just raises the bars of the laptop world. It’ll likely be more useful for heavy readers or Photoshop/Final Cut users at first, and we’ll have to see how long it takes for other popular programs to update themselves to take advantage of the new screen. The MacBook Pro with Retina Display, while expensive, is the best all-around MacBook Apple now makes unless you absolutely, positively need a built-in optical drive or Ethernet jack (both are available via external dongles or peripherals). It provides desktop-replacement-level performance, but is nearly as slim as an imagined 15-inch MacBook Air would be, even if it’s a little heavier than it looks. Salient features Retina display: 2880 x 1800 pixels (220 pixels per inch) Screen size: 15.4 inches (super thin bezel) Weight: 4.46lbs Thickness: .71 inches (about as thin as the MacBook Air) Apps: PhotoShop, Safari, Final Cut Pro X, and other select apps have already been upgraded for the Retina display Processor: up to a 3.7GHz Intel quad-core i7 (Ivy Bridge) Graphics processor: New Kepler Nvidia GPUs RAM: up to 16GB Internal storage: Up to 768GB of flash storage (all flash) Battery life: 7 hours Ports: HDMI, two USB 3.0 ports (compatible with USB 2.0), two Thunderbolt ports, SD card reader, MagSafe 2. Thunderbolt adapters for FireWire 800 and Ethernet. Other: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 are also included. Apple talked a lot about the laptop's "asymmetrical fan" as well as its 720p FaceTime webcam. Dual microphones, a backlit keyboard, and new speakers are also included. But all these awesome features in this ultra cool gadget comes at a sizeable price of Rs. 153000. But those who just can’t resist this wonder will probably shell out the amount and become the proud owners of apple Inc yet another masterpiece.

| Statustint: Change The Colour Of Status Bar Of Your iPhone Posted: 25 Jun 2012 04:23 PM PDT There are many status bar tweaks for setting a custom message on the status bar ribbon in place of the clock or carrier. There is a status bar tweaks for your tethered jailbroken phone. But what if you are bored with the status bar's grey-on-white or vice versa theme? StatusTint lets you set the colour and the gradient of the status bar yourself, which provides a degree of flexibility second to skinning the status bar yourself. StatusTint is a Cydia tweak that allows you to change the colour of your status bar and even add a gradient to it with the different and unique styles available and it also supports iOS 5 and higher. An issue in this build of StatusTint tweak is a lack of landscape support. Turning your iPhone on its side will cause an inch of colour missing on the status bar, but that's not really an issue after all. To install this tweak you need to follow the steps given below:
If you know any other tweaks similar to this one or any other tweak which you might think would be useful to iphone users please let us know. Blogtechnika will not be responsible if your device gets bricked while using Cydia. Related posts:
