If you have a little bit of tech geek in you, or you are an Internet junky then you must have heard about Google Panda. However, those who claim to have a website or a blog and they are still unaware of this lovely e-animal then they must have not been taking their business seriously. Bloggers who earn their bread and butter from Internet and rely heavily on advertisement or Google ad sense they are going through a financial crunch. Well, if not all of them then most of them are and I am saying it after experiencing the crunch and reading terrible stories of my fellow bloggers who have suffered.

Let me give you one line intro to Google Panda, it is a latest Google search engine algorithm that works more humanly and discredits unworthy online content within no time. The latest Google Panda Updated Version 3.8 has been released on June 25th 2012. It seems that Google has special affection for cute animals because previously it was Google Penguin which still is a part of Panda algorithm however, the working of these algorithms is quite far from cute. I think it is just to say that this is the first time Google has released such an algorithm.

After portraying Google's Panda terrible, let me retreat from my previous statements because I cannot ignore the reason of creating such a frightening algorithm and possible benefits for web content publishers. Keep in mind that Google Panda is not something to curse or abuse but it actually promotes the idea of better and effective Internet browsing experience. So, in this post I will try to let my readers know how they should consider the new changes beneficial for their business and bring their house in order because from now the online technology will become more grumbling and rigid.

Pros of Google Panda:

Let's start with outlining the pros of Google Panda on online content publishers:

1- Elimination of Duplicity:

Google Panda is seriously taking actions against those who are consistently producing duplicate content. There is no doubt that a lot of Internet content is a result of copy pasting. Among us only few people actually strive to write new genuine content whereas; majority just considers duplication a better option. So, in this case of Google Panda is punishing those culprits then to me it is nothing short of a blessing.

2- Useful Content Production

One must appreciate the humanly algorithm that forces all online content publishers to produce worthy content because until this time all of has been ignoring this very aspect of content production. So, Google has decided to take things in its own hand by pushing us towards the righteous path and it is never too late to let go your bad habits.

3- Effective Time Utilization

I don't want to sound cheesy but I think Google has always tried to offer better time utilization. One of the prime reasons I find behind the advent of Google Panda is perhaps to make Google Search Engine results more qualified and relevant. Ultimately it is going to be you who will be benefited by such strict measures that Google has taken through its algorithm change.

4- Enhance Internet Browsing Experience

Another positive thing about Google Panda is filtration of useless junk content and enhancement of Internet browsing experience of a common user. Remember that a lot of people don't really want to mull over the quantity of the content available on a certain topic but they would rather prefer to go directly to the relevant information page.

5- Rewards Good SEO

Previously a lot of publishers have enjoyed the freedom and made money from black hat SEO. Such malpractice should have gone a lot earlier but it's never too late to apprehend the culprits. Google Panda is certainly crediting those who have been patient and honest in their content promotion methods, that indeed is a big pro of Google Panda.

6- Inclination towards Social Media

Social media hold a key in web content publication and dissemination. Only Facebook has more than 900 million users just imagine the magnanimity of whole social media sphere. In such scenario, Google had to take this in consideration and it did through Panda. Publishers that are more active and engaged on social media they definitely receive more attention and appreciation from Google.

Cons of Panda:

1- Still Immature:

As the algorithm is relatively new so it is at the moment quite immature which means we can suspect a bit of malfunctioning. If you have been hit even though you are not a bad blogger then it is quite possible because of this very factor.

2- Too Secretive:

I think it is quite known that Google is very secretive about their algorithm which is good however, too much secrecy provokes speculations. So, whatever we know about Panda can be true or wrong. I believe there should be a way of making it bit more open but secure.

3- Discouraging for Newbies

Too much surveillance has never been recommended because it shuns the creative process. Those who have good chance of flourishing in their respective community may fall on the immediate steps because of strict Google Panda which is certainly a pro.

Final Words:

As the name says, this Google Panda is either black or white there are no grey areas. Either you hit or miss it because it is cruel, it isn't sweet and it is definitely not generous but it is just. I would recommend all of you to review your websites, clean it, remove the broken or spam links, monitor for future spamming, and most importantly promote quality over quantity because this is what going to last long. Hope to see you rising n shining!
