How To Explode Traffic To Your Site When You Create and Manage an Article Directory

Posted: 27 Aug 2012 02:27 AM PDT

By Maria Cohen

Building and maintaining an article directory does take some work, but if you do it, you'll find that there's a lot to be gained from it. There are a variety of article directories, and they have many different uses as well. Forget about the 900 pound gorillas like Ezinearticles and others. Obviously, a newcomer can't cope to match these directories, and you don't have to try. You can use your largest website as an example of what you want to accomplish with a directory. Then do the simple math of 1 + 1 equals massive expansion and streams of profit using article directories. Consider the power it could give you in the search engines, as you could rank for lots of desirable keywords with ease. The question is, how do you even start such a project? We'll talk more about the beginning, now.

You should have a good supply of articles ready to be published in your article directory once it is finished. You started this directory, perhaps, to benefit your other businesses; so it makes sense to publish your content in your own directory. It is important that you stick to your own rules set forth for everyone else. You know the deal about bio or resource boxes, so then be sure to make a good one for yourself. If you have the resources, it would be a good idea to begin outsourcing article writing long before the directory is finished. The main reason concerns marketing your other businesses, perhaps, or to market your article directory.

Article directory monetization is part of both creating and managing your article directory. There's no point in creating this site if there's no money to be made from it, and fortunately there are lots of ways to monetize it. You might consider how the largest of these sites, like Ezinearticles, take in money; a lot of it comes from Adsense. Not all customers of article directories approve of this practice of aggressively using Adsense, of course. You may want to use at least some Adsense ads on your article directory to bring in some revenue. Another possible monetization method is to have banners on your site. You can, naturally, reserve some of this advertising space, or perhaps all of it, for your own products. There are other ways to bring in revenue for your article directory, and we've only covered some of the most obvious ones.

As the owner and manager of your own article directory, you naturally have to market your site. You may want to restrict your marketing and advertising to non-paying methods at least in the beginning. There is video, articles, social marketing, search marketing as well as others. Think for a moment about what this whole process is all about. As you engage in those various marketing methods you will be building valuable backlinks to your own article directory. You want to build as much PR as quickly as you can, and the backlinks will help your site.

Creating and managing an article directory will give you a lot of flexibility that you would not have. SEO can make a difference if you use a directory to help another site, and be sure you do not have them on the same class C Ip. Be careful and decide about different domain names, and in fact you should have them on different domains. An article directory will afford you tremendous flexibility and advantage that a blog cannot provide.

Posted: 27 Aug 2012 02:15 AM PDT

By Scott Resing

The role of a nurse is to help doctors during surgeries and assist patients daily with their needs in the hospital. Most often the next step is nurses becoming hospital managers or nurse managers. Hospital managers not only manage a whole staff of nurses but manage non-medical staff as well. They can manage a small unit and sometimes an entire department. Managing staff is a challenging career which requires not only nursing, but also excellent management skills, as well.

Managing a hospital is a constantly changing landscape. There are lots of job opportunities for persons who want jobs in administration and management. There is no need for a medical degree in order to become a hospital manager, but most people who do become hospital managers have some medical background. If you are a nurse who would like to become hospital managers are in a very good position.

What does a hospital manager do? Much of the hospital manager's job is taking care of the facilities, hospital staff and the patients. They must deal with things such as managing personnel, finances and sometimes even making sure that the schedule is ok. The hospital managers play a lot of roles.

The hospital manager has to be a fiscal manager. This job might involve developing the hospital's financial framework; as well as hiring hospital staff. A fiscal background would be very valuable. In some hospitals, it might even be required.

The hospital manager might also be a clinical manager. A nurse who has been working in a specific department may become the head of that department. Managers in this capacity evaluate and processes and make recommendations. Their recommendations will help make the hospital more efficient.

Record keeping and maintenance is also another task which is performed by the hospital manager. One of the many changes today is the conversion of records into electronic data. Today, it is required for hospitals to have electronic record-keeping. This would need someone who is abreast with the changes in technology. It is the hospital manager's task to make sure that relevant information is given where they are due.

Being a hospital manager is a demanding job but it is also one of the most rewarding and exciting jobs today. In order to be a hospital manager, it is a must to have a degree in healthcare administration. There are even healthcare institutions which require residency. If you do not have a degree yet, you may work in a hospital setting while completing your degree. You will have better chances of getting a job if you have experience and the right education. If you are already a nurse, this is something which would not be too difficult for you. If you are indeed seeking a job in hospital management, you should let your superiors know. They will take notice of you and remember you right away when an open position comes up.

Website Security & Protection against Hacking

Posted: 27 Aug 2012 02:03 AM PDT

By Daniel Turbin

I've been a Net marketing pro for 3 years now, and while this by no means makes me an expert, it has put me in contact with numerous small business owners who make their living on the internet. I have had the good fortune to have extended dialogues with a lot of these folk, and the one thing that stands out in my mind is the large number of them who are doing all the proper things where the selling is concerned, and who are paying little, if any attention to the concept of web security.

There's small thought given to the necessity to find some means of defence against hacking, and few plans in place to get over a successful security breech. These are people whose very business is dependent on the ongoing existence of their online foothold!

Since discovering that sad fact, it has become a bit of a mania for me, and I have since had the equally good fortune to meet a gifted web security specialist. I still don't know everything there is to understand on the subject ( a long way from it, in fact ), but I'm learning more each day, and I'm sure that it's just a question of time before a crafty hacker puts me in the cross hairs and makes an attempt to wreck my business.

That's correct for everyone, sadly. That is true for everyone who has a business with a web portal of any sort. The numbers just simply aren't on our side, and our day will come. When your day comes, will you be prepared? Have you taken steps to protect your info? Have you secured your information against all but the most determined hacking attacks, and do you have plans in place to recover if such an attack succeeds?

If you're like a shocking number of business ladies and men I've talked to, then you may not have even considered these things, and if you have not then I ask you to do so . Sooner, instead of later , because the clock's ticking, and you never can say when they'll set their sites on you.

Tips and Tricks to Make Your Startup Web Design Business More Successful

Posted: 27 Aug 2012 01:10 AM PDT

Everyone should have a website in this day and time. Think about doing this even if you have a normal job. You need an avenue to speak with future employers and to talk with family and friends. This is an indicator that the web design business should be really taken seriously. This means that there are a lot of people who are interested in starting their own web design businesses. A lot of these businesses will go out of business because the owners were only concerned about making quick money. But because of your love of web design, you are committed to creating a prosperous business. This is going to be your game plan.

Hire an accountant. No kidding-hire an accountant. There are certain things you will need to spend money on when you are setting up your business. Copywriting is such an expense. Accounting is your second most important expense. It's a much more intelligent approach to have an accountant taking care of the financial side of your business, even if you could track your incomings on your own. This will reduce the amount of pressure on you which means you can do more design work as you will have more time. It also ensures that everything is being done properly, including filing and paying your taxes correctly. You will find that a professional accountant will be worth every cent.

Always make sure you set aside plenty of time to complete any administration or marketing tasks that must be done. There are people who think that a forty hour working week is enough. But this doesn't automatically mean you get to design sites for all forty of those hours. Don't let your design work take up more than twenty to twenty five hours of your work week. The remaining hours of your working week will be spent doing other business tasks, like answering emails or phone calls, marketing, networking, doing administration, etc. When your business is still new you might be okay to work overtime, but after a while you'll burn out if you don't set aside time to get things done properly.

Don't rush things. It's easier to build your business up gradually than to try and replace your full time income with it right away. Keep your day job for a while and do freelance web design in the evenings for others. This approach will make it difficult for you to take on too much work. This will allow you, though, to get your reputation where you need it to be, to build a portfolio and also put some money aside for when you are ready to quit your day job. You'll be glad you followed this strategy, regardless of how tiring this process is.

Any good web design business will have several elements that make it great. The design aspect is only one side of things, while administration and marketing form other parts. It won't take you long to strike a good balance between these things that will help you reach the success you want.
