If you are like me, a "keyword" has a definitive value. As a marketer, as an online business, and as an Internet entrepreneur, keywords are the core of our research and the core of attracting the right types of audiences. If you can conquer the keyword game, you can create an infinite amount of success online.
AND I am not kidding!
Let me give you a little bit of insight into this...
When I started out, I was mostly into Pay Per Click marketing. It was a game of numbers (Return On Investment) and a game of finding keywords that would convert. I like to think I was very good at it...and by this I mean, I was able to find SINGLE keywords that earned me $100's per day. I once revealed a unbelievable powerful keyword within the "web hosting" niche and that one keyword alone sometimes earned me $1,000 per day.
No joke.
Although the PPC world has vastly changed in respect to affiliate marketing, the importance of keywords has only grown. Online business have a huge opportunity these days to get ranked naturally under keywords through SEO, assuming the know what to look for (it is quite easy).
There are basically two metrics that you need to focus on.
Traffic & Competition.
Sure you can dig much deeper than this, but at the core of all rankings in Google (and other Search Engines), these are the metrics that you need to be able to access.
Search Engine Optimization and marketing has evolved, so have the way we used to keywords and how we distinguish what a good keyword is, how easy it will be to rank for, how much competition it has, and how much traffic it gets. If you can find a way to obtain this data, you truly have the doors opened to unlimited traffic.
Why?
Because there are UNLIMITED keywords out there. Yes...every day 100,000's of brand new keywords are being typed into search engines. Many businesses are forming and brand new products are being developed. Many news stories are revealed, and many people are coming into this world and attracting spotlight. Because of these NEW events, it only CREATES more keywords.
OK, let's dig into these two items further.
First one. Traffic.
Most keyword tools, including the Google Keyword Tool (free one), simply do not provide accurate data. Google in particular and any keyword tool that relies specifically on Google data has highly inflated numbers. I have on a number of occasions seen keywords that make absolutely no sense, but get 60,000+ searches per month within the Google tool. BS!
You need to be able get access to more accurate traffic numbers.
Second. Competition.
Really, when you think about it, what is competition. It is not some crazy piece of elusive data, it is quite simple. Competition is how many pages in Google are competing under the exact search term. Ideally, you want this number to be low, ideally below 400 competing pages in the world for your specific search term.
Seem unachievable?
I can personally tell you that there are millions of keywords that meet this criteria, and there are a ton of keywords out there that you can "cherry pick" top rankings with relative ease.
But you need to be able to quickly attain this competition data and get it on a large scale.
How though?
Well, to be honest with you, Carson and I created a tool that we invested the last 18 months building and refining to fit HOW WE RESEARCH. It is the only keyword tool we use and it absolutely blows anything out of the water that we have seen to date.
