This has to be my be favourite part of the month, rounding up all the best design resources from 2012 all into one blog post. This month contains the usual great Photoshop and illustrator tutorials, as well some great freebies free icons and text styles. I would love to hear your thoughts on this months roundups in the comments section.
Photoshop
In this tutorial, we'll be creating a three-dimensional coffee cup. You'll learn to create the coffee cup and its basic shapes in Illustrator. Then we'll bring it into Photoshop to give it some finishing touches and to place it in a poster layout just so you can get an idea of how the cup can be used as part of a design project.
You already know that Photoshop is a fantastic tool for creating 2D images. What you might not know is that Photoshop also has limited capabilities for creating high quality 3D images and animations. In this tutorial, we will use the new and improved 3D and Timeline features of Photoshop CS6 to create a Syfy inspired text effect and logo animation without any additional applications.
In today's advanced drawing tutorial you will learn how to draw a pair of binoculars from scratch using Photoshop. This tutorial is perfect if you're interested in icon or illustration design and walks you through each step of the illustration process. You'll learn about Photoshop's advanced drawing capabilities and texturing/lighting techniques.
In this tutorial, we will explain how to create a tasty cupcake icon in Photoshop. We will start with a sketch and then add color, texture, and shading to create an icon that looks good enough to eat.
Illustrator
In this tutorial we will create the letter S in the shape of a slinky toy. For these purposes we will be using the Blend Tool and simple circles.
In this tutorial we're going to illustrate a not so scary vampire in a geometric style. We'll be using basic shape tools and the Pathfinder panel as well as a great method of creating a unique color palette. Let's get started… mwahahaha!
In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to create a portable scanner using the Rectangle Tool (M), Direct Selection Tool (A) and Envelope options, as well as some patterns and gradients to add finer details.
In this tutorial you're going to create a spirit thermometer using a geometry sketch, filled with gradients and using customized Art Brushes in Adobe Illustrator. With some finishing touches with the Type Tool and Gradient Mesh, you too can create this detailed illustration.

One would argue that mobile wasn’t so mainstream and everybody was trying to imitate the IOS interface on the web, and I agree, it was bad, but that’s not the only reason why clients are asking for responsive!? Somehow they think we turn responsive design on or off as we please and that it’s just normal to have, so the price should stay the same. Well, it’s not that easy.

So tasty to create some yummy text, button, icon effects for your designs… right!?!
