Don't waste your time making & memorizing a sale script. Spend your time educating yourself on how to get the information you need from clients. Understand sales as a customer!
A strong communication strategy focuses on:
1. Identify the Pain
Find out how a prospect's current situation affects performance and what cost is associated with that effect on performance.
2. Decision making power
How much decision-making authority your prospect has? You need to get the prospect to voice accurately his or her role in the process - whether an influencer or the ultimate decision maker. Always ask follow-up questions designed to validate whether their answer is in fact the role they will play since many people will overstate their role.
3. Do they have enough?
Prospects should be able to address the standard objections: budget, authority, need, timeframe. Then address how much does they know about the cost of your types of solutions or services? (E.g. Have they bought from you before? Who was involved in that previous purchase, etc.)
